Truro Facts

Summer vacation spot for many, located in Barnstable County. In our opinion Truro has the most beautiful beaches on Cape Cod. There is ten public beaches some of them have high sandy cliffs on the ocean side, and amazing views from the bay side. Not only beaches but biking, Highland Golfing ( Cape Cod oldest golf course) is available for you along with great accommodation and fine dinning. Nearby towns are Provincetown and Wellfleet. Boston is about 105 miles away.

In 1620 Pilgrims landed in Truro but they declare the area unsuitable. Town was incorporated in 1709. First lighthouse in Cape Cod was build in Truro, known as Cape Cod Highland Lighthouse. Truro was known for farming and whaling.
